Brenda Jackson Consulting offers design, negotiation with Federal authorities, and implementation of cutting-edge transformational initiatives involving Medicaid and CHIP. These initiatives often incorporate the use of waiver mechanisms, and the drafting of waivers and state plan amendments (SPAs). In addition, BJC provides assistance to numerous states and companies in the conceptualization of Medicaid and CHIP program reforms including assisting to gain insight into health care policy and management, with a focus on state and local health reform and Medicaid managed care initiatives. In addition, we provide consultation on design, implementation, and evaluation of public sector managed care programs and health care reform initiatives. Recently, emphasis has been on programs involving special populations, dual eligibles, mental health, substance abuse and other high-need programs.
