Founded in January 2002, Community Bridge is a Washington DC based minority certified business and GSA Schedule Contract Holder offering a wide array of Facility Management services. Facility services offered by the company include Landscape and Grounds Maintenance, Janitorial Services, Snow Removal, Temporary Labor Services, Building Maintenance, and General Contracting. The mission of the company is to provide comprehensive facility management solutions that will meet corporate and government needs in the most efficient and effective manner. One of the first contracts successfully secured by the company in 2002 was for janitorial/custodial services. Community Bridge was contracted by Washington D.C. General Hospital, and the eleven (11) neighborhood clinics associated with the hospital, to provide janitorial/custodial services. During the tenure of that contract, the hospital received its highest rating of 97% from its auditing agent. Since that time, Community Bridge has continued to provide janitorial services to clients to include the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), District of Columbia Public School System (DCPS), District of Columbia Public Libraries (DCPL), Prince George's County Government, and the U.S. Department of the Navy. The next successful contract secured by the company was for the provision of landscape and grounds maintenance services. Community Bridge was contracted by the Washington DC Department of Parks and Recreation to service city parks and athletic fields across the District. This contract later expanded into a Comprehensive Grounds Maintenance contract with the Washington DC Department of General Services at which time, in addition to local parks and athletic fields, included landscape, grounds maintenance, and snow removal for public schools, government buildings, libraries, fire stations, and police stations within the District. The company continues to provide a wide array of landscape, grounds maintenance, and snow removal services for the Washington DC Department of General Services and several other local government agencies. Community Bridge had the pleasure of being selected to participate in the Clean Water Partnership program by which employees had the opportunity to engage in classroom and OJT in the area of storm water management. Employees gained valuable training and education on the installation and maintenance of storm water devices. The partnership afforded Community Bridge the opportunity to be awarded several storm water maintenance and installation contracts in the Washington DC and Prince George's County, Maryland areas. The company has also been a provider of temporary labor for local organizations and agencies that have required assistance with landscape and janitorial services. Community Bridge performed the service of screening and hiring highly qualified candidates and sourcing them to the Washington Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA), and continues to provide temporary labor services for local landscape projects. Community Bridge is minority certified with several agencies, the most notable of which are the Capital Region Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC), CBE Certification with the DC Department of Small and Local Business (DSLBD), MBE Certification with the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT), and Minority Certification with the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). Present day, Community Bridge has grown into a multi-million dollar corporation with an impressive portfolio of diversified clientele.
