AlphaGraphics’ President & CEO, Clare Meehan, and her husband, Bill, came to Pittsburgh from Boston, Massachusetts in 2000 to found AlphaGraphics in the Cultural District. We opened our doors on Sixth Street in downtown Pittsburgh with seven employees and zero clients, but we quickly established a loyal following of corporations, organizations, and institutions for which we provided printing, graphic design, and business communications products and services. Today, more than 18 years later, we have evolved to deliver a comprehensive array of classic and cutting-edge marketing communications solutions unlike any other design firm or advertising agency in Pittsburgh! Having experienced double-digit growth almost every year since 2000, we now have 28 employees and annual revenue of more than $5 million. Our current location is on Penn Avenue, still in the heart of Pittsburgh’s Cultural District. Our center, a part of a global franchise system headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a leader among 280 centers in the U.S. and abroad. In 2012, AlphaGraphics in the Cultural District was awarded the coveted Franny Award for the best franchise in the AlphaGraphics global network, and we were further honored by the International Franchising Association. Locally, we have been listed among Pittsburgh’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies and Best Places to Work. AlphaGraphics in the Cultural District is proud to be a woman-owned business and is certified by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). We operate under the principles of LEAN manufacturing and the International Organization for Standardization, which provide a framework to measure our performance and continuously improve processes.
