Dr. Shirey’s core competencies include designing, facilitating, and evaluating teacher PD on engineering and STEAM instruction, coaching secondary STEAM educators, and designing research and assessment programs to investigate the success of STEAM instruction and teacher growth. She is also a certified arts-integration specialist and is trained in arts-integration education across all grades and subject areas.
