Based in Philadelphia, we serve organizations throughout the Mid-Atlantic region and beyond. Fairmount’s vision has always been to provide expert capacity-building and consulting services to help nonprofits grow and thrive and, in so doing, help to improve and impact the communities they serve. Historically, the work of Fairmount’s clients has focused on improving quality of life in low- to moderate-income neighborhoods, and on transforming lives through provision of stable and quality housing, healthcare, education, social services, employment opportunities, and arts and cultural access. Fairmount has always been committed to ensuring nonprofits’ long-term sustainability and impact in their communities. Fairmount positions the sector to grow and thrive by offering a continuum of related services including fundraising, strategic planning and organizational development, in the past five years, executive search. In early 2000, Fairmount Ventures’ management team embarked on a succession planning process to prepare for our founder’s retirement in 2022. On January 1, 2022, Aimée Miller, a longtime partner at the firm, became President and formally crafted a new shareholder agreement in which she assumed majority ownership with two other female partners. In February 2022, Fairmount celebrated 30 years of service to the nonprofit, education, and public sectors. On March 1, 2022, the partners signed an amended shareholder agreement and Fairmount officially became a women-owned business.
