Metro Social Services, Inc. (MSSI), established in 2001, is a minority-owned/operated, community-based agency that provides high quality, culturally appropriate services to clients in the five metro counties. MSSI was founded to provide services to Africans and African Americans, but over the years, our agency’s focus has broadened to include other minority/immigrant populations underserved by traditional health care delivery systems, including Hmong and Latino communities. Presently, MSSI offers several services to adult, youth, and their families from Ramsey and Hennepin Counties, including; targeted case management (TCM), Individual/family psychotherapy, In-home family support, Adult Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (AMHRS), and Diagnostic Assessments. MSSI currently holds a 245D HCBS Program License, and we have certifications from the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) to provide Adult Rehabilitation Mental Health Services (ARMHS) and Children Therapeutic Support Services (CTSS) in the five metro counties, including Ramsey County; Our services at Metro Social Services are unique in that we serve a diverse population from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We have over 18 years of experience working with Metro Counties (Ramsey, Hennepin, Dakota, Washington, and Dakota) to provide services to adults and children. Since its inception, Metro Social Services has focused on working with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds providing mental health services to the African/African Americans, and other minority/immigrant populations undeserved by traditional health care delivery systems and low-income white communities
