General Business Description Portland Spreadworks, LLC d/b/a Excel Rain Man is a spreadsheet outsourcing firm. We help companies with everything from streamlining their business processes to analyzing and gaining a better understanding of their data. Whether it is due to a lack of spreadsheet savvy or not having the time to get their work done, our bread and butter is taking Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, and Google Sheets work off of people’s desks… with a big focus on Automation through Visual Basic. COVID-19 Description We are in a unique position where our day-to-day operations have been impacted very little despite the challenging climate as our work has always been done remotely and primarily through virtual meetings. In addition to companies reaching out to us for our spreadsheet and development expertise, we continue to handle overflow requests stemming from businesses having less employee resources available. Furthermore, our skillset aligns well with the ad hoc yet ongoing work that is stemming from the impacts of COVID-19. We can help companies and government agencies with: • Data Gathering: determining the best way to collect data to structure it for future use • Combining Data Streams: aggregating data from multiple sources (such as cities, counties, states, nursing homes, hospitals, communities, reporters, etc.) • Reports and Dashboards: building simple reports to concisely display specific metrics and/or dashboards which can be easily manipulated to show varied metrics for more focused perspectives • Workflow Automation: We can create buttons to automate any routine processes to keep tasks efficient and error free.
