Simms Books Publishing Corporation (SBPC) is organized exclusively for promoting literacy and aiding prospective writers, authors, and anyone who has a story to tell, in publishing "their story". The company guides aspiring writers through the steps of book publishing--story development, manuscript writing, character development, formatting, marketing, promotions, and copyright requisites. The corporation teaches aspiring writers how to write a book, and at the same time, they show them how to build a literary corporation. The outcome is multifaceted--provides employment via entrepreneurship and promotes literacy. As a social enterprise, the corporation is committed to raising the literacy rate in Clayton County by launching online Reading Campaigns to encourage high school students to "Read" and write books.
