Dr. Black's research area of how to apply a systems thinking approach to interconnected problems (such as policing within a community) continuously evolves over multiple disciplines to include health analytics/systems, social impact investing, the interconnection of sustainable development goals (United Nations), and applying systems thinking to civil-military operations such as humanitarian assistance and disaster relief.
